Big water often means big fish, and North Caribou is no exception. Over 30 miles long and 15 miles wide, it offers an amazing number of fishing options. The lake is 81,000 acres in size with hundreds of kilometres of shoreline and too many islands to count.
Year after year, North Caribou guests consistently catch and release trophy northerns in the 18-22 lb range. This is perhaps one of the most interesting lakes in the region, offering the fishermen several hundred miles of shoreline, countless bays, and dozens of islands. This is truly a trophy northern fisherman’s paradise but you don’t need to travel far from camp to catch ample walleye as well.
Our unique camp location on the northwest shore just adjacent to the river's outlet was chosen to allow the fishermen easy access to both lake and river fishing. Even on those windy days, fishermen can fish the quiet calm shorelines of the channel, just to the north of the camp location.
